Fees, Rebates and Schedule

The Australian Psychological Society, as at 1 July 2011,  recommends a standard session fee of $218.  Donna's fees are lower than this to help make counselling more affordable for all.  Also, if you are referred by your doctor through the Better Access to Mental Health* system, you may claim a Medicare* rebate which pays for about one-half of the counselling fees.  Those who have private Health Insurance may claim a refund between 20% and 80% deprending on which ancillary or "extra" schedule they have chosen.
 
Standard sessions of 55/60 minutes apply to all categories below.  Fees are as at June 2011 for the Blackburn and Melbourne CBD locations. Concession fees apply to full-time tertiary students, pensioners and people holding a heath care card.

Supportive Counselling

  ** Medicare rebate = $81.60
Full payment is required at the conclusion of each session and those claiming a rebate* can submit their receipt to Medicare.  As there are no credit card facilities available, only cash, cheque or direct debit can be accepted.

Reports start at $350.00 plus GST.

Educational Training and Tutoring

• Fees for seminars and workshops vary and are provided on the registration forms
• Private tutoring fees for individuals are $125
• Private tutoring fees for small groups are negotiable

Private Supervision

• Psychologists, counsellors & allied health practitioners: $125 per session
• Academic supervision for university students: $125 per session

Enquiries and appointments can be made directly by phone or email.  If the phone is unattended please leave a message and your contact details and you can expect a reply shortly, usually within 24 hours.
Appointments are available weekdays to 8pm and Saturdays to 5pm.

Cancellation Policy

The Australian Psychological Society provides the following guidelines for cancellation fees.  These guidelines will be used except in emergency cancellation situations.
